| Welcome to New Haven Action on the Web! |
New Haven Action is a campaign-oriented organization that focuses on non-partisan issues that benefit the community. We are excited about moving forward with efforts to improve New Haven, and we hope you'll join us in our efforts.
At present, New Haven Action is building a clean energy campaign to enroll residences and businesses in the new Connecticut Clean Energy Option. The Clean Energy Option allows consumers to switch their homes and businesses from electricity generated by fossil fuels to electricity generated by wind power and methane gas burned off landfills. With approximately 1 out of every 4 children in New Haven diagnosed with asthma, we believe that it is critical that New Haven make every effort to reduce fossil fuel consumption.
We are also about to begin a campaign called Clean New Haven in partnership with the City of New Haven to pursue toxics reduction around the city. For more information on this campaign, please feel free to email us.
